1957 Ford Thunderbird
The 1957 Ford Thunderbird is one of the most glamorous and iconic cars of all time. It was designed as a “personal luxury vehicle” and featured many design cues that made it truly unique like the rear fins and turbine taillights that looked like they came straight from a rocket ship. The car was designed as a two-seat luxury sport tourer and captured America’s imagination when it came out with styling that still looks fresh today. The powertrain is made up of a 4-barrel 312 V8 with 245 hp and 3-speed Fordamatic automatic transmission.
“Thelma & Louise”
A quick story about friendship and cars
We get caught up in many things that make us lose perspective. I gained some recently. I had a woman named Emily rent our 1957 Thunderbird to try and cheer up her best friend Angie who is battling pancreatic cancer. She bought scarves, sunglasses, and hats to recreate “Thelma & Louise” as best she could. It was chilly and Angie wasn’t feeling great but we took a short drive through the leaves and escaped reality for a short time. Everyone is battling something. Try to be more like Emily and Angie - care for your friends, be kind, and live for the day.
